It's
a small thing really and in the overall cosmic scheme of things, it
isn't going to make the most microscopic ripple, but after a long,
lonely, and pain filled week in the hospital, my friend Blue got to
home today. She'll spend the time she has left in familiar
surroundings, among her own things, her family and friends, and her
beloved dog. It may not seem like much but it matters enormously to
her and to those of us who love her.
I
find myself wishing there was an instruction book for times like
this.
